case study seven – Scan & Go Mobile training
Supporting the introduction and rollout of ASDA’s Scan & Go Mobile Checkout Solution.
We were approached by ASDA to support with the introduction and rollout of their new Scan & Go Mobile Checkout solution.
Customers would be able to download a Scan & Go application on their smart phones, scan items within store using the application, pack as they go and then checkout through a self-service till.
- To design an interactive 1-hour training course that included the customer and colleague journey, shrink and security, and correct colleague behaviours on how to deal with any necessary quality checks.
- To support the rollout of the new system and attend each store for 1 day and deliver between 6 to 8 sessions depending on store format.
What We Did
We designed a hands-on interactive 1-hour course that would be delivered to groups of colleagues on the shop-floor.
We contacted each store one week prior to our attendance, in order to introduce ourselves and help the store formulate a training plan.
On the training day, one of our highly skilled trainers then delivered between 6 to 8 sessions to checkout and support colleagues. We ensured colleagues felt comfortable and confident with Scan & Go Mobile and encouraged them to use the service themselves in order to gain additional experience.
During our time in store, we were also able to focus store colleagues and managers on customer usage and provided them with guidance on how to increase and sustain Scan & Go Mobile customer footfall.
ASDA received fantastic feedback on the delivery of our courses in their 40+ pilot stores, and because of this they are looking at rolling out to more stores within the business. Two’s Company will be with them every step of the way!
