Training of Costa Express self-service coffee machines into Shell Petrol sites throughout the UK

The Start

Two’s Company were approached by Costa Express to support them with the installation of a self-service Costa Express coffee machine into 290 Shell Petrol Sites throughout the UK.

The Objective

To train, coach and support Shell store colleagues on the new Costa Express coffee machine, along with implementing new associated Health and Safety procedures.

We were also tasked to ensure all sites understood the Costa brand standards and that they followed correct procedures in readiness for site audits by in-house Costa Brand Ambassadors.

What We Did

Each trainer attended their respective sites for a pre-visit meeting with the Site Manager, one week prior to live day to introduce them to Costa Brand Standards, set up a relationship and support the site in arranging staff for training on live day.

We then attended each site on live day and delivered training sessions to Managers and colleagues.

Whilst on site, Two’s Company trainers also completed a health check report to ensure the coffee machine was operating at Brand Standards.  Our completed Health Check was forwarded to the in-house Costa Brand Ambassadors for continued business as usual support.

The Results

Costa Express were amazed with our results and professionalism and presented us with an award for our outstanding contribution to the project!!

Due to the success of the project, we were recommended to become the training partner for Costa Proud to Serve, which is a continuing relationship to this day.
